Accommodation - A room, group of rooms, or building in which someone may live or stay. Substainable - Tourism growth that ensures the resources on which it depends are not degraded. Environment - The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates. Independent - They are not owned by anyone else, for example an independent tour operator. Voluntary Sector - They are a non-profit organisation, that are usually set up to help a cause. An example of this is the National Trust. Public Sector -The public sector is the part of a country's economy which is controlled or supported financially by the government This is who work for the public. For examples of this is Schools, Colleges and Hospitals Private Sector - The private sector is the part of a country's economy which consists of industries and commercial companies that are not owned or controlled by the government. Their aim is to make a profit a Tour Operator is an example of this who sell holidays to make a profit. Profitable - Is when something is sold for more than the orignal cost. Organisation - A social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet a need or to pursue collective goals. Corporate - A large company or group. Fauna - Animals Flora - Plants or habitat Development - Growth or advancement in a specific area. Political - Ideas or strategies of a particular party or group in politics. Economical - Giving good value or service in relation to the amount of money, time, or effort spent. LEDC - Africa MEDC - England Leakage - This is where if you are from England and you book with an all inclusive holiday the money goes back to the English Tour Operator and the money doesn't go into the choosen holiday location that you visit. Stakeholders - This is anyone who has an interest in the business/organisation. |
